Central Iowa Democrats to Host Gabbard and Delaney

The Central Iowa Democrats are proud to welcome Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii and Rep. John K. Delaney of Maryland as featured speakers at the Central Iowa Democrats Fall Barbecue fundraiser. This is a fundraiser to benefit the participating counties: Boone, Greene, Grundy, Hamilton, Hardin and Story and the ISU Democrats. This is a family friendly event.

Ticket price: $30 in advance, $35 at the door, plus sponsorships of $100, $200 and $300

Rep. Gabbard has been the United States Representative for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District since 2013, having previously served in the Hawaii House of Representatives. She is a former Vice Chair of the DNC. During the 2016 Presidential Primary she was a surrogate for Bernie Sanders. She is a Major in the Hawaiian National Guard and has twice been deployed to the Middle East.

Rep. Delaney has been the United States Representative for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District since 2013 and is the first Democrat to announce candidacy for President of the United States in 2020. He has co-founded two companies, Health Care Financial Partners and CapitalSource. In 2004 he won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

All of the Gubernatorial and 4th District Congressional Democratic candidates will attend and speak.
